Synopsis
Two years after the war in Sri Lanka, an ex-combatant of the Tamil Tigers returns home from a rehabilitation center. He finds the woman he loved, and tries to start a new life. He is unexpected and unwelcomed by the villagers. Other than the use of firearms, his only professional skill is driving. In search of a job he goes to the city. There he faces the new realities of postwar life. The film depicts how he understands and faces the challenges of his new life.

Asoka Handagama
Asoka Handagama was born in 1962 in Sri Lanka. He is considered a prominent personality in his country. He is both highly respected and strongly attacked for his stage dramas and films, which aim to tackle harsh socio-political realities in today’s society. He has gained international festival recognition since his third movie, This is my Moon (2000). Him, Here After is his 7th feature-length film.
