Born 1973. Started directing short films and music videos from 16. His second feature film Buried ― a man is trapped and buried in a coffin ― was a big success at Sundance Film Festival 2010. Six-hour long queues, tickets rising to $150 and standing ovations at every screening was a big surprise. Nominated for 10 Goya Awards, winning three that year. Red Lights is his third feature film.
