[TIFF Activities]
Donations

TIFF again raised money, as Green Donations since the year of 2008, by placing donation boxes at the festival venues until the end of the Festival. The total of 1,460,235 yen, collected through Green Donations, the sales of charity auction, and a part of sales of tickets and novelty goods, were contributed to the ”Green Tokyo Fundraising Campaign”, “Kinoshita Forest”, and “Cinema Yell Tohoku”

■Period: from October 20 to October 28, 2012
 
■Location: TIFF event venues and the festival venue, the TIFF internet charity auction with the support of Rakuten Auction Inc.
 
■The Total Amount of Donations  1,460,235 yen

“Cinema Yell Tohoku” is a project sponsored by various theaters and screening groups to show movies in the devastated areas of Tohoku. It is conducted as part of Council for East Japan Movie Screenings, and operated by Japan Community Cinema Center.
