Q: Our main theme of this year’s film festival is “Power of Films Now”. Do you have any episode in which you strongly felt the power of the film?
Aida El Kashef: Yes, of course! The films project reality whether it is happy one or sad one, even the fantasy, each one have dreams. It is very wide medium to parallel universe to our own universe. It projects everything like what we feel and what we see, its base concept is what we live. There is no film comes out from the space, it relevant to something our living. It is so powerful because it depends on our lives.

Q: Our main theme of this year’s film festival is “Power of Films Now”. Do you have any episode in which you strongly felt the power of the film?
David Siegel: I think yes. As so many people had said, that is why many of us take a grab in making movies. It is because, they do have such a strong powerful effect on people and movies are our popular media. It is the way that we tell our cultural stories of most of our time. I would say it is a renaissance painting of our time. It is a kind of honor and privilege to be involved in making movies. That is your part of very important dialogues.
Scott McGehee: I agree with him! We keep doing this exactly! Hahaha. (Scott and David have co-directed films since 1990. )
