Our sincerest condolences on the death of Mr. Nagisa Oshima at the age of 80.
 
Since 1985, four of Mr. Oshima’s films have been screened at TIFF.

The film “Cruel Story of Youth” was selected at the 12th TIFF by Mr. Oshima as the one film which he would like the world to see. Mr. Oshima, who had just completed his film “Taboo,” joined the talk session after the film was screened.
