We regret to announce that Mr. Raymond Chow will not be able to come to Japan during the 25th Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF).
 
Mr. Chow was scheduled to visit Japan to take part in TIFF where he was to be honored with the TIFF Special Appreciation Award in gratitude of his support of the festival since its launch in 1985. However, we were informed that, due to diagnosed chronic middle ear infection, Mr. Chow would be medically unfit to fly for the next three weeks. We are currently making a request for a delegate to attend the Opening Ceremony on the 20th of October to receive the Award on his behalf.
 
Please also be reminded that Mr. Chow, therefore, will not be in Japan to make a stage appearance at the all-night event scheduled to start at 11pm on the 20th.
 
We ask for your understanding of the situation, and pray for Mr. Chow’s early recovery.
